He has been named a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery for his contributions to algorithms, probabilistic methods, and networks, making him the eleventh UMIACS member to receive this honor.
He is organizing a UMD workshop on Jan. 8–9 to explore data-driven approaches to security and privacy research. The event will bring together experts to discuss key challenges and produce a report outlining a research agenda and funding recommendations.
