Biography:
Tianyi Zhou is an assistant professor of computer science with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
His research focuses on applying human learning strategies—like curriculum design and collaboration—to improve machine learning and generalization in real-world scenarios. This includes advancing controllable generative AI, human-AI alignment, and developing efficient, trustworthy hybrid intelligence systems for large language models, multi-modality models, and reinforcement learning.
