Bahar Asgari
Assistant Professor, Computer Architecture
Bahar Asgari is an assistant professor of computer science with an appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
Asgari’s research interests involve domain-specific architecture design, near memory processing, and reconfigurable computing. This includes efficiently accelerating sparse problems for widespread application domains—from neural networks and recommendation systems to scientific computing. She also works in developing intelligent dynamically, reconfigurable computation platforms with the aid of machine learning to envision the requirements of data and algorithms in the future.
