Quantum Q&A with Nicole Yunger Halpern on World Quantum Day

In celebration of World Quantum Day on April 14, University of Maryland quantum theorist Nicole Yunger Halpern spoke on the fascinating topic of quantum information science and her own work in “quantum steampunk” research involving quantum thermodynamics. Yunger Halpern is a physicist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology who works on the UMD campus as a fellow in the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science and as a senior investigator in the NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation.
