Duraiswami Receives UM Ventures Startup Prize

Ramani Duraiswami, professor of computer science with an appointment in UMIACS, was recently recognized by UM Ventures, the technology commercialization arm of MPowering the State. A startup Duraiswami co-founded, called VisiSonics, received the first UM Ventures Startup Prize, which helps Maryland-based startups commercialize their products. VisiSonics produces software and hardware that improves sound spatialization with headphones, smart phones and tablet devices.
