Progress on ViPER
David Doermann, Charles Lin, Felix Sukhenko

Abstract

We are developing a Video Processing Evaluation Resource (ViPER) toolkit to automate video processing evaluation tasks. A primary contribution of ViPER is a ground truth representation which can be maintained and manipulated by different tools and applications. We have divided the system into three main parts --- ViPER-GT (for ground-truthing), ViPER-PE (for performance evaluation), and ViPER-Viz (for visualization). The system has undergone some major enhancements to allow for object representations as well as more robust methods of entering data. In this presentation, we will review progress to date, demonstrate current capabilities, and present basic methods for evaluation dealing with the temporal aspects of video analysis
