I currently work as a scientist in the CAD R&D division for Siemens Healthcare, USA. My focus is on developing machine learning algorithms that automatically identify early stage cancer of the breast, lung, and colon based on X-ray and CT images. I finished my doctoral studies in the Computer Science Department at the University of Maryland, CollegePark in the area of machine learning with an emphasis on fast computational methods. Prior to that I got my Masters from the Electrical Engineering Department majoring in Signal Processing. I used to work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Perceptual Interfaces and Reality Lab. and UMIACS under Dr. Ramani Duraiswami. I did my undergrad from NIT,Trichy, India.
