Perl Info and Resources,
Introduction to Programming for Linguists
- O'Reilly books on Perl
- A good site for Perl frequently-asked questions (FAQ)
-
Robert's perl tutorial. (Original link died; now pointing to archived instances on The Wayback Machine)
-
Nik Silver's perl tutorial, which is also quite good.
- An interesting article on programming
Perl in Latin, written either for linguists, for people who have
too much time on their hands, or most likely for linguists who have
too much time on their hands.
- Another useful perl guide suggested by April West. This just goes to show you that once you put something up on the Web, it lives forever. This page had not been edited since July 2001. In January 2011 (!) April wrote me to tell me that the "Robert's perl tutorial" link was dead, and suggested this page might also be interesting. Thanks, April! Everyone should be aware that, other than this link, all resources on this page are at least 10 years old and there might be better stuff out there now. Still, I hope whatever you're finding here is useful.
